DNV GL Healthcare USA, under the authority granted by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), has awarded Kingwood Emergency Hospital full accreditation for a three (3) year term effective November 16, 2020.
Kingwood Emergency Hospital was awarded accreditation for demonstrating it meets or exceeds patient safety standards set forth by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. DNV GL’s accreditation program is the only one to integrate the ISO 9001 Quality Management System with the Medicare Conditions of Participation.
“To receive this accreditation now, during a pandemic, is especially meaningful,” says Jeremy Brynes, CEO of Kingwood Emergency Hospital. “Now more than ever patients demand a safer, cleaner, faster level of service. Earning DNV’s accreditation demonstrates our commitment to patient safety, cleanliness and quality of care.”
In addition, Kingwood Emergency Hospital has begun an expansion project to double its private inpatient room capacity in order to meet the growing needs of the community. The project will be complete in early 2021.
